The Hunt makes its return

The Hunt is on, beginning Wednesday. It’s the annual treasure hunt sponsored by The Selma Times-Journal.

Here’s how it works: Our staff goes out somewhere in Dallas County with a treasure chest and hides it in a public place. Inside that treasure chest is a certificate for $1,000.

Every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, The Selma Times-Journal will publish a clue about the treasure chest’s location. You’ll see the clue inside the newspaper. Clues can also be found at participating businesses, a list which can be found along with clues in the Wednesday, Friday and Sunday editions of The Selma Times-Journal.

Then, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Dixie 100 will read clues over the air some time during the broadcast day.

“We’ll publish clues until we have a winner,” said Erica Slone, advertising director for The Selma Times-Journal. “All the person has to do is bring the certificate in the box to the newspaper and claim the prize to win.”

So get ready. The Hunt is on.
