Robertson named DKG Girl of the Year

Brook Virginia Robertson was named Delta Kappa Gamma Girl of the Year in a ceremony at the Striplin Performing Arts Center on Thursday evening. The award carries a $2,500 scholarship.

She is the daughter of Dan and Paula Robertson. She is president of SGA and the National Honor Society. She is also head cheerleader, class salutatorian and Perry County’s Junior Miss.

She plans to attend Auburn University and hopes to become a physical therapist.

Robertson also won a $200 scholarship as Morgan Academy’s top finalist. Like Robertson, the top finalist of each school was awarded a $200 scholarship. Other top finalists were Lindsay Morgan (Dallas County High School), Sarah Dokes (Keith), Leigh-Ann Gardner (Meadowview Christian), Kamesha Strong (Selma High) and Breanna York (Southside High).
