Is there an answer to the violence?

Another dead teenager, the victim of a gunshot wound. As Selma police officers investigate the shooting, the rest of us should be asking ourselves what can we do?
What can we do to keep guns out of the hands of our children?
What can we do to keep our children occupied, so they don’t turn to guns?
What is the root cause of the violence among our children?
How do we reach out to our children?
We have prayer services and we cry out to God. But do we really mean it?
After the prayers and the services do we sit and shrug our shoulders?
This child was no hero. He was facing criminal charges. But that should not matter.
Another teenager is dead.
The rest of us have to live with that.
