All schools in the Dallas County School System will close at 1 p.m. Thursday because of the threat of bad weather, according to David Haygood, spokesman for the school system.

In Selma, Dr. Austin Obasohan, superintendent of Selma City Schools has announced the early dismissal of classes at 1:30 p.m. due to the imminent threat of severe weather. To check students out prior to this early dismissal, please follow normal procedures through the school’s office.
