Spring break was not kind to the formerly hot-hitting Dallas County bats as the Hornets fell to West Blocton 2-1 on Monday.

McKinsey Crawford scored on a Keneasha Jefferson infield single in the top of the fourth inning to give the Hornets a 1-0 lead.

But West Blocton tied the game in the fifth on a Jelynn Campbell double that scored Erin Lemley. Kristin Evans led off the sixth with a triple and scored the winning run on a Carroll Pope single.
