Frederick P. Heath, Jr., 80, of Chattanooga, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 in a local health facility. A native of Kinston, NC, he was a resident of Selma, Alabama for 22 years before moving to the Chattanooga area two years ago and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean War. He was also a member of the Church of Christ where he served as Elder for 25 years and was retired from the Federal Civil Service. Survivors include his wife, Ellen H. Heath; daughter, Pam Johnson, Chattanooga; two sons, Tim Heath, Kennesaw, GA and Michael Heath, Chattanooga; five grandchildren, Julie Johnson, Scott Johnson, Ryan Heath, Eric Heath and Amanda Wiggins; sister, Ann Lockett, Machias, ME. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Martin-Boyd Christian Home with Minister Mark Flynn officiating.
