Southside’s scheduled home game with St. Jude has changed.
Due to a scheduling conflict, the Panthers will travel to Montgomery to take on the Pirates at 4 p.m.
Southside was supposed to host St. Jude at 4 p.m. at Bloch Park, but both teams scheduled Tuesday’s game as a home game.
The Pirates had no way to travel to Selma, so Southside decided to travel due to having the last week off.
“St. Jude didn’t have a bus because of another school event,” said Southside coach LaMorris Jones. “We went ahead and agreed to play.”
This is the second time since Friday that the Panthers’ baseball plans have been altered. Friday’s inclement weather forced Southside to postpone its game with Francis Marion.
