Panthers clobber St. Jude

Southside took advantage of 14 walks and five errors to beat St. Jude 22-2 on Monday.

Wilbert McConico led the Panthers with three singles and a double, one RBI and four runs. Mario Oliver added two singles, two runs and one RBI. Devan McGuire went 2-2 with three runs and an RBI.

Due to a scheduling conflict, the Panthers had to travel to Montgomery to take on the Pirates.

Southside was supposed to host St. Jude at 4 p.m. at Bloch Park, but both teams scheduled Tuesday’s game as a home game.
