Mrs. Peggy Thompson Raybon, 70, a native of Pine Apple, Alabama and a resident of Selma, Alabama, died Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Elkdale Baptist Church, Selma, Alabama with Rev. Micah Gandy and Rev. Al Finch officiating. Graveside services will be held at Magnolia Cemetery in Greenville, Alabama at 4 p.m. Dunklin &Daniels Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be great-nephews: Matthew Dunnam, Timothy Dunnam, Derick Wright, Kerry Wright, Justin Dunnam and Seth Thomas Lindsey. Mrs. Raybon was preceded in death by her husband Donald Mack Raybon. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: John Kevin and Lynn Vinson Raybon of Montevallo, Alabama, sister-in-law: Virginia Dunnam (Joe) of Linden, Alabama, uncle: Leo Jones (Katherine) of Greenville, Alabama, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at Elkdale Baptist Church in Selma on Saturday, February 28, 2009 from noon until service time. The family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
