The Demopolis Youth Baseball Association and the Demopolis Sportsplex have reached an agreement with the United States Sports Specialty Association to host two USSSA-sanctioned baseball tournaments this spring.

The Demopolis Spring Lead Off will be March 28-29 and teams will be able to compete in five age divisions, from 8U-to-12U. The second tournament, the West Alabama Area Championship will be held May 23-24 and it will include a total of nine age divisions, from 8U-to-16U.

“I conduct tournaments all over the state, and Demopolis has some of the best facilities I’ve seen,” said commented Dee Black, the USSSA Assistant State Director for Alabama. “Not only are the fields impressive, but the overall layout is really conducive to tournament baseball where you may have 30-40 teams and thousands of spectators in a complex.”
