Ella Louise Lawless Forrester, 84, of Greensboro, went to be with the Lord Feb. 5, 2009 at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Mrs. Forrester was born April 9, 1924 in Birmingham to the late Gayle and Dora B. Spencer Lawless. Mrs. Forrester was a self-employed accountant for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Harold Forrester; a son, George Ahaz Forrester; and a sister, Frances Elizabeth Jones.
She is survived by her three daughters, Katherine Chaney of Birmingham, Kameron Wise (Jeff) of Birmingham, and Keisha Wilson (Travis) of Browns. She also leaves behind 8 loving grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009 at 11 AM at Greensboro First United Methodist Church with the Reverend David Pierce officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 10-11 before the service at the church. Burial will follow Monday Feb. 9, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham with Bro. Micah Gandy officiating. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Wise, Jeffrey Wise, Andrew Wise, Travis Wilson, Willard Powe, and Adam Forrester.
