Russell to phase out Alex City fabrics plant
Russell Corp. has announced plans to ‘phase out’ its fabric operations in Alexander City.
The company said in a statement Wednesday that approximately 250 employees will lose their jobs.
A decade ago, Russell employed over one-thousand employees at the facility.
The company blamed the poor state of the U.S. economy for the job cuts.
