Meadowview Christian overcame a slow start to earn a 39-28 win over Marengo on Friday.

“It was a very important game to us because it was a region game,” said Meadowview coach Ceil Annie Cooper. “We started out very sluggish. We did better in the third quarter and outscored them 17-6 in the fourth.”

Katey McIntyre led the Trojans with 10 points.

Anna Edmonds was Marengo’s high scorer with seven.
