The Selma Times-Journal will sponsor the Selma-Dallas County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours from 5:30 until 7 p.m. Thursday at the Hank Sanders Technology Center at Wallace Community College Selma.
The members of the chamber will congratulate elected officials at this special gathering.
“With there being several new officials, there is a good chance that everyone hasn’t met some of them,” said Lauri Cothran, president of the chamber. “We hope to have a good turn out from both groups so we can foster relationships and help promote all groups in Dallas County working together to make it the best place to live, work and do business.”
Business After Hours are social functions for chamber members, which are hosted by a member to offer an opportunity to network in a non-business setting.
Said Dennis Palmer, publisher of the Times-Journal, “We appreciate the opportunity to sponsor such an event and partner with the Selma-Dallas County Chamber of Commerce to bring our elected officials and members of the business community together. And we’re grateful to be able to hold the event at such an outstanding facility as the Hank Sanders Technology Center on the campus at Wallace Community College Selma, which is truly a jewel of our city and of the Black Belt.”
