Meadowview Christian School football coach Rick Jackson will not coach the Trojans in 2009.

“It was made official today,” said Jackson. “I handed in my letter today.”

He gave his formal resignation to Meadowview headmaster Michael Gaylor on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Jackson, Gaylor and other administrative staff asked the coach to reconsider his move during the Thanksgiving holiday.

Gaylor could not be reached for comment.
