Selma police arrested a woman Monday in connection with a September robbery of Vickers Jewelry Store.

Joyce Denise Powell, 29, turned herself in at the Selma Police Department and was arrested for receiving stolen property first degree. She was placed in the Dallas County Jail under a $15,000 bond.

A warrant was issued for Powell on Sept. 27. Authorities learned Powell had in her possession items taken in the robbery when she pawned some of them.

“It appears that she pawned the stolen items at a local pawn shop and also in Demopolis,” said Sgt. Doug Stewart of the Selma Police Department. “She turned herself in to headquarters when she learned of the warrant.”

Police arrested Powell in late October and charged her with first-degree felony in connection with another robbery at Vickers.

Jermaine Fields was also arrested and received a first-degree felony charge in the robbery.

Eddie Davis was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree robbery for allegedly robbing Vickers at knifepoint in September and again at gunpoint in October.
