Saints take down R.E. Lee

Selma got back on track with a 57-53 win over R.E. Lee on Tuesday.
The win soothed some open wounds from the Saints’ home loss to Dallas County on Saturday, but Selma coach Woodie Jackson wants to see more improvement.
“We played with a little more intensity,” said Jackson. “We still didn’t rebound the ball with the intensity we should have but we did have a little more effort and grit about ourselves.”
Dupree Rivers led the Saints with 15 points and 7 rebounds. DeAngelo Norris added 13 points and Justin Ravizee chipped in 11. Charles Eton, who was promoted from Selma’s B-team, and a good first outing with 9 points and four rebounds.
Wendell Lewis and Jamie King led the Saints with nine rebounds apiece.
CCA 67, Autauga Academy 35
Keevan Woods led Central Christian with 18 points, seven assists and seven seals in a 67-35 home win over Autauga Academy.
Bryant Rawls and Wesley Bell both added 17 for the Warriors, and Artavious had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Garrett Petrunie led the Generals with 15 points.
CCA plays East Memorial on Thursday in the Prattville Christian Tournament.
Selma 43 R.E. Lee 42
Selma’s B-team knocked off R.E. Lee 43-42 on Tuesday.
Devion Alexander and Kerry Mitchell finished with 12 points apiece and Malcolm Riley added 9 points.
Mitchell and Riley led the team in rebounds with nine apiece, and Alexander had six on the night.
