Alvin “Doc Holidae” Reaves, 57, of Selma, AL, formerly of North Carolina, died Friday, November 7, 2008, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.
Memorial Service will be held 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, November 12th, at Miller Funeral Service Chapel in Selma, AL with Rev. Glenn King officiating.
Funeral Service will be held 12:00 Noon, Saturday, November 15, 2008, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Rodney Gore officiating. Burial will follow in Bolivia, North Carolina at Daniel Reaves Cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Reaves Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Reaves; five sons, Dr. Alvin Leo Reaves III, Alvin Sherron Reaves, Caleb Alvin Noah Reaves, Jessie Solomon Luke Reaves, and Jonathan Gabriel Seth Reaves; two daughters, Latoya Evans and Sarah Lynn Reaves; mother, Joyce Reaves; two brothers, George Belamy and Jamie Devonsha Gilbert; sister, Sharon Michelle Reaves; four brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; six nieces; six nephews; six aunts; and four uncles. Pallbearers will be George Bellamy and Jamie Devonsha Gilbert.
