Obama wins Vermont’s three electoral votes
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has won Vermont’s three electoral votes, easily defeating Republican John McCain.
The Associated Press forecast Obama as the winner shortly after the state’s polls closed at 7 p.m. The call was based on an analysis of voter interviews, conducted for The AP by Edison Media Research and Mitofsky International.
Lori Schreiner, a West Brattleboro voter, says Obama’s election would be an extraordinary achievement.
