Bennie Edgar Johnson 69, of Detroit Michigan, formerly of Selma/Dallas County, Alabama, died Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at a local hospital.
Services will be held Friday, October 24, 2008, at the Metropolitan Baptist Church of Detroit, Michigan, where he served as a deacon until his death.
Survivors include his children: daughter Jacqueline (James) Smith, sons Hernandaz and Jasper Johnson, all of Detroit, MI.; brothers, Joe Louis Johnson, Willie Turner (Costella), Morris (Minnie), and Tyrone Bowie all of Selma/Valley Grande, AL; Sisters, Vera J. Moore, Esther (Willie) King, a twin sister Willia Edna, and Guinn Bowie all of Selma/Valley Grandee, AL; three grandchildren, Jazzlynn, Janell, and Lauren all of Detroit, MI He was preceded in death by his wife Inell Johnson, Son Rodriquez Johnson, and his parents Morgan and Patsie Darden Johnson.
