Jewell F. Dempsey, age 78, of Selma, AL, passed away October 7, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Council and Becky Harvell; brother, James Harvell and sister, Jessie Lee Harvell.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Dempsey; daughters, Ava Jean (George) Tyler, Betty (Amos) Snodgrass, Becky Ann (Gene) Hethcox and Rita Harrison; brothers, Thurman (Jean) Harvell and Perry (Edna) Harvell; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 10, 2008 at 2:00 p. m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Fancher officiating. Interment will be in Kelly Cemetery in Pine Hill, AL with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Thursday, October 9, 2008 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Allen Dempsey, Alex Tyler, Jimmy Snodgrass, Eric Smith, Clayton Smith and Daniel Liles. Honorary pallbearers will be James thrasher, Paul Irvin and Mike Sims.
