Geraldine Allen, councilwoman of Ward 4, has defeated Selma businessman Gene Hisel 2,245 votes to 1,993 vote in complete, but unofficial returns Tuesday night for Selma City Council president.

In the Ward 4 race, the only other run-off on the slate, Angela Benjamin is the apparent winner over Kelvin Williams, 345 votes to 217 votes.

These totals are complete, but unofficial. The Selma City Council will meet next week to certify the election.
