Maplesville beat John Essex 41-6 on the road Friday.

The Red Devils had 164 passing yards and 140 rushing yards.

Matt Hamner complete 7-of-9 passes. Hunter McKay caught four of the passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns. McKay made a 42-yard run and a 7-yard run for touchdowns.

James Madison ran two times for 77 yards. He scored a 22-yard and 55-yard touchdowns.

Chris Reeves ran two time for 50 yards, and Chris Bailey ran two times for 30 yards.

The Devils’ defense held John Essex to minus 36 yards rushing and one yard passing.
