Benjamin Hill

Benjamin “Tony Buttee” Hill passed Sept. 4, 2008 in Long Beach, CA. He was the fourth child of nine siblings born to Ben &Charity Mitchell Hill.
Ben became a member of the Bosco Boy’s Club and through this affiliation, he united with the Catholic Faith in Selma. His Christian affiliation in California was with the Tower of Faith Evangelist Church. Ben was united in Holy Matrimony to Nadean Campbell and to this union they were blessed with three sons, one who preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 47 years, Nadean; two sons, Lenar &Andre Hill; four grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene and John Hill of Selma, AL; four sisters, Lillie Thompson, Mildred Parker, and Ernestine Callen, all of Selma, and Marjorie (Walter) Remy, of Fremont, CA; one uncle and one aunt, Joseph Mitchell and Beulah Mitchell, of Selma, AL; and a host of relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Sept. 20th at the Ward Chapel AME Church 809 Philpot Ave., Selma, AL at 11:00 AM.
