Driver charged in bus wreck at Ft. Rucker

A Jefferson County man faces 23 charges, including felony homicide by vehicle, for a bus crash that left a Marine dead and scores of others injured.
The crash occurred March 9 on Fort Rucker.
Coffee County District Attorney Gary McAliley said 74-year-old Howard Glen Miller of Warrior was arrested Friday in Warrior.
Authorities allege that Miller was driving a charter bus when it flipped in a curve and overturned on Mateson Range, near state Highway 27.
He was charged with 7 counts of first-degree assault, all felonies, and 15 counts of misdemeanor third-degree assault.
A 19-year-old Marine died. 22 others were injured.
Miller was being held in the Coffee County Jail on bonds totaling $91,500.
