Alabama man killed in motorcycle wreck
An Alabama man died when his motorcycle crashed into the back of a trailer and another vehicle ran him over on Highway 78.
Mississippi Highway Patrol Sergeant H.L. Kitchens said the trailer, being pulled by a man from Memphis, was wide, high and didn’t have any lights on it. Kitchens says when 45-year-old Robert Charles Perry, of Sumiton, Alabama, hit the trailer, he was struck while trying to get off the ground by a vehicle driven by a Pontotoc woman.
The accident happened Friday night.
Kitchens said the Memphis man was charged with improper equipment, no taillights and switched tag.
