CAMDEN &8212; One man is dead and two suspects were arrested as a result of nightclub shooting here Sunday morning.
Wilcox County Sheriff&8217;s deputies arrested Keyonta Nicholson and charged him with murder. Officers arrested Carlos Smith, a relative of Nicholson, and charged him with four counts of assault in the first degree and kidnapping.
Authorities contacted Wednesday afternoon said they didn’t know enough to talk about the kidnapping charge.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a reported shooting at Club Shade, Camden, Sunday around 2:53 a.m.
Wilcox County Sheriff Prince Arnold said Nicholson and Antonio Dewaun Murphy had an argument in the club.
Both men continued the fight outside the club and each had weapons Arnold said.
Nicholson allegedly fired his handgun and wounded Murphy.
Arnold said he believes Smith shot Jamichael McCaskey, Antonio Grimes, Marlon Castophney and Ebony Johnson with a shotgun.
Murphy was airlifted to the University of South Alabama Hospital in Mobile, where he died Sunday.
The Sheriff&8217;s department arrested Nicholson and Smith on Sunday and booked them into the Wilcox County Jail.
Both men remain there with no bond.
Arnold said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
