A Wilcox County man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter and received a 20-year prison sentence.

Alvonzo Johnson, 23, of 1134 County Road 59, Pine Apple, appeared in Wilcox County Circuit Court last week to make the plea.

Johnson admitted to the shooting death of Fredrick Smith on May 22, 2006.

A motorist traveling west on County Road 2 discovered Smith&8217;s body in Bare Creek .
