Jannie Venter has announced she will seek a second term for Selma City Council Ward 8.

Venter, 67, said she wants to finish what she&8217;s started.

Some projects completed in Ward 8:

Venter is a radio announcer at WHBB where she plays gospel music on 1490 AM. She studied business administration at Wallace Community College Selma in 1983. She retired from United Insurance after 15 years, and worked at Protected Industrial Insurance for seven years. She worked at U&W Manufacturing in 1962 where she was a supervisor.

He motto is &8220;You ring, I spring. Your servant I remain.&8221;

Venter is unmarried. She has two children and four grandchildren.
