Margie Rush Golson

Margie Rush Golson, age 86 of Selma, died June 5, 2008 at a local nursing home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Bertha Rush, her sister, Jean Rush Carter, and infant daughter, Linda Jane Golson.

Survivors include her son, Charles A. (Judy) Golson Sr. of Valley Grande, daughter, Sue Golson ( Alan) Davis, of Sun City West, AZ, four grandchildren, Charles A. Golson Jr. and Peyton Golson Dalton of Birmingham, AL, Christopher S. Golson of Auburn, AL, and Kara Shea Davis Crohn of Riverside, CA, six great grandchildren, Reid Golson, Andrew Golson, Caroline Daniels, Clay Golson, Oliver Crohn, and Ezra Crohn, sister, Doris Rush Sansom and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday June 10, 2008, at 11:00 AM in Plantersville Christian Cemetery with Reverend Mr. Henry Levert officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Monday June 9, 2008, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Rita Harrison

Rita Harrison, age 51 a resident of Selma, AL, passed away June 7, 2008.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Skeen; father-in-law, Charles Travis Harrison and mother-in-law, Mary Harrison.

Surviving are her husband, Jerry Harrison; mother, Shelia Skeen; Son, Eric Ryan Harrison; and her beloved pets, Charlie and Winston.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Elkdale Baptist Church with Rev. Micah Gandy officiating.

Interment will be in New Live Oak with Selma Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Monday, June 9, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home.
