Catherine B. Nord

Catherine B. Nord, 59, of Uniontown, AL died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Southland Nursing home in Marion, AL.

Services are scheduled for May 5, 2008, at 11a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Uniontown with Rev. Anthony Trimble officiating.

Burial will follow in Goldman Hill Cemetery under the direction of Julia L.

White Funeral Home.

Survivors included four sons Jessie Sullivan of Ft. Wayne, IN; Michael (Veronica) Sullivan of Temple, TX; Robert (Angela) Sullivan of Selma, AL; and Ervin Frye, Jr. of Memphis, TN. Four stepchildren Willie (Frances) Nord, Josephine (Sam) Tabb, La&8217;Tanya (Robert) Hollis, and Sharina Holmes. Two sisters Dorothy Bennett of Birmingham, AL and Murdies Shephard of Uniontown, AL and a host of grand-children, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will include family and friends.

Dorothy Nell Tidmore Roberts

Dorothy Nell Tidmore Roberts, 64, of Selma, AL died May 1, 2008, at DCH, Tuscaloosa, AL.

Services will be Sun. May 4, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel Rev. Rod Rodchester of Selma, AL officiating.

Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel.

The family will receive friends Sunday May 4, 2008 from 1 to 2 p.m.

Jeanie Gullett-Blevins

Jeanie Gullett-Blevins departed this earthly life for her heavenly home on Friday, May

2, 2008, at 7 p.m. in Birmingham, Ala. at the V.A. hospital.

Jeanie was born in Gary, Ind., on March 2, 1960 to Nathan and Ethel Gullett. Her father preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Nathaniel Blevins, children, Tameka and Cody, mother, Ethel of Gary, twin sister, Georgie (Ricky) Haskins of Gary, sisters, Ardis Holmes, Rosiland Marzette, Connie Gullett Hollaway, all of Gary, Ind., brothers, Nathan and David (Alma) Gullett of Gary, Ind., and Joel (Margaret) Gullett of Dallas, Texas, aunt, Vivian (Johnnie) Hollie of Detroit, Mich., uncle, John McCants of Pensacola, Fla., special niece, Audra (Raymond) Robinson, Dallas, Texas, and special family friend, James Hudson, Selma, Ala.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 5, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Washington officiating.

Dorothy Edwards

Dorothy W. Edwards, age 84, of Selma died on Friday May 2, 2008 at a local nursing home.

Services will be held on Monday May 5, 2008, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee Tate and Rev. Jack Lovelace officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens Cemetery.

She is survived by her loving husband of

66 years M.L. &8220;Pete&8221; Edwards; sons, Larry (Nancy) Edwards, James M. (Beth) Edwards; daughter, Marian (Van) Carter, Iris (Steve) Brown; grandchildren, Brian Edwards,

Tracy Pierce, Dana Horne, Emily Cayne Rowe, Brad Edwards, Sarah Camille Morris, Laura Lee Kozusko, Carrie Bledsoe, Mallory Edwards, Stephanie Huovinen, Gary Brown, Amy Morris, David Morris, and Deborah Morris; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday May 5, 2008, from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church. In Lieu of Flowers the family request donations be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.

Mary McMillian Jones

Mary McMillian Jones, age 76, of Selma died Friday May 2, 2008 in a local nursing home.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband, Luther R Jones, sons, Ronald Rocky (Meg) Jones and Michael Scott (Mauren) Jones, daughters, Tammy J. (Craig) King and Tracey J (Keith) Sellars, and grandsons, Brent Sellars, Taylor Sellars, and Craig King IV.

The family requests flowers be omitted and suggests memorial donations to the Alzheimer&8217;s Foundation or one&8217;s favorite charity.
