Dear editor,

Thank you for the neat editorial on &8220;Footloose, the Musical.&8221; And I do agree, it was wonderful that all three shows were sold out! What a welcome to Random Acts of Theatre Company. I have heard nothing but positives about the play.

Also, a big round of thank yous to Freedom Foundation for what they are endeavoring to do in our city.

Surely, this is a visible heart of compassion which reflects the Lord. Thank you, Mark Duke and family, all the others I&8217;ve met and those I have not met, for giving up lives in bustling Colorado to come to Selma for the reasons you have come.

Thank you for being a part of us when we need encouragement and hope.

And, Amanda Farnsworth.

Congratulations on such a wonderful first play using so many of our local youth. If I could have been there all three performances, I would have.

And thank you for coming to this town to provide the opportunity for us to break out of molds and work together on something so fun and rewarding, for providing encouragement, training and such professionalism for our children to be around.

Amanda, please accept my apology for not making the time to purchase flowers for you on opening night….the day just got away, and I regret that I did not.

You were part of an answer to prayer for our son having an outlet for his music.

Thank you. I look forward to working with you in the future.

City of Selma and St. Paul&8217;s Episcopal Church, thank you for sponsoring the first play.

We parents appreciate such undergirding for our children.

It is becoming more of a blessing to be back home in Selma because of you all.
