Sixteen Democrats have qualified to run for local office in the June 2 primary election.

Ozetta Thomas, secretary/treasurer of the Dallas County Democratic Executive Committee said all the Democrats had registered with her office by closing Friday.

Cecil Williamson, chairman of the Dallas County Republican Executive Committee, said through an e-mail on Sunday that &8220;one or two,&8221; had qualified, but would not release the names.
