Public schools taking ARMT test

The first day of testing for the Alabama Reading and Mathematics Test in the public schools systems has come and gone.

But the tests will continue through April 11 for students in grades three through eight.

Testing will begin about 8:30 a.m. and end by 11 a.m. each morning.

Results of the reading and math test is one of two indicators for determining a school&8217;s adequate yearly progress.

Selma School District officials say it&8217;s important for students to be present, get a good night&8217;s sleep and eat a good breakfast. Here are some other ways students may prepare themselves, according to the school district:
