Catherine Hinson Johnston
Services for Catherine Hinson Johnston, 37, one-time employee of The Times-Journal advertising department, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday in St. Paul&8217;s Episcopal Church with the Revs. Polk Van Zandt and Joseph S. Knight officiating, Lawrence Brown-Service directing.
She died March 12, 2008, in a Birmingham hospital following a sudden illness. Interment was in the St. Paul&8217;s Columbarium.
Mrs. Johnston was born February 13, 1971 in Selma, the daughter of Dr. William M. Hinson and the late Nancy Warren Hinson. She attended John T. Morgan Academy and was a graduate of Selma High School. She was also a graduate of Judson College, later returning to school to pursue a nursing career.
After graduating from Wallace Community College as a licensed practical nurse, she earned her degree as a registered nurse. She was an employee of Dr. Seydi V.
Aksut.
Mrs. Johnston is survived by her husband, Joe P. Johnston III and their daughter, Catherine Taylor Johnston, who was born March 11, 2008. Other survivors are her father, Dr. William Hinson; her mother-in-law, Mrs. J.P. Johnston Jr.; her sisters, Nancy Warren Hinson and Dottie Hinson Dennis (and her husband Jeff); and her nieces Mary Claire Powell and Carrie Hinson Dennis, all of Selma.
Other survivors are her aunts, Margaret Ann Terry of St. Louis, Dorothy Jane Nisbett of Jacksonville and Donna Warren of Selma.
The family received friends from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Tipton Parlor of St. Paul&8217;s Church.

James Eaton, 56, died Friday, March 14, 2008, at his home.
Funeral services will be announced at a later date by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.
Robert Meadows
Robert Meadows, 80, of Plantersville, AL died March 10, 2008 at a local hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Plantersville Grove Baptist Church and officiated by Rev. R. Bearden.
Burial was in Plantersville Grove Cemetery and directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, Inc.
Ms. Beulah M. Smith
Ms. Beulah M. Smith, 81, of Selma, Alabama, died March 13, 2008 at
Vaughan Regional Hospital.
Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date by Miller Funeral Service, Inc.
Ouida Mae Copeland Lunsford
Ouida Mae Copeland Lunsford, age 84, of Guntersville, AL died Thursday, March 13, 2008.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 3 p.m.
at the Green Hill Funeral Home, 1621 U.S. Hwy 29 in Troy, Alabama. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Damon Lunsford, three sons, Wayne (Vera) Lunsford, Corpus Christi, TX, Terry (Tris) Lunsford of Centre, AL, and Tim (Glenda) Lunsford of Acworth, GA.
She was blessed to have 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Derward (Margie) Copeland of Raleigh, NC and three sisters, Mary Dunning of Dothan, AL, Lurlene Henry and Janet (Howard) Godsy of Selma.
Ouida was a long time resident of Selma until her retirement at which time she moved to Guntersville, AL.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family whom she adored.
Eloise Williams Johnson
Eloise Williams Johnson 94, of Selma, AL, passed away March 13, 2008 at Warren Manor Nursing Home.
She spent most of her life in Ray City, GA, where she taught school in Ray City Schools for approximately 40 years, retiring in 1976. Visitation will be at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home in Selma, AL from 6 until 8 p.m. March 14, 2008, and at Music Funeral Home in Lakeland, GA, March 15, 2008, from 6 until 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Ray City, GA with burial to follow at church cemetery at 2
p.m. Sunday March 16, 2008, officiated by Rev. Lee Graham and Rev. John Patton.
She is survived by her son, James Travis Johnson and his wife Lou, granddaughters, Lisa (Steve) Anderson, Leslie (Charlie) Skelton, Allison (Dean) Smith, all of Selma, and Luann (Ray) Roberts of Prattville, and her great-grandchildren Courtney Kendrick of Tuscaloosa, Kelly Kendrick of Prattville, Will Anderson, Katy Skelton, Kent Skelton, Meredith Smith, and Cole Smith, all of Selma. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Jimmie Mobley, a niece Cathy Mobley, and nephew Steve Anderson all of Ray City, GA. She was a longtime member of Ray City Baptist Church and taught Sunday School and Training Union there for many years.
Pallbearers are Steve Anderson, Charlie Skelton, Dean Smith, Ray Roberts, Will Anderson, and Buddy Purvis. The family would like to express appreciation and warmest regards to the complete staff at Warren Manor Nursing Home in Selma, AL.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Elkdale Baptist Church in Selma, AL.

Mr. Walter Williams, 59, of Selma, died Friday, March 15, 2008, at Shelby County Medical Center.

Allie Mae Johnson
Allie Mae Johnson, age 84, of Selma died Friday March 14, 2008 in a local nursing home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Bible Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Charles Sullivan and directed by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Society Hill Cemetery in Wilcox County.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughters, Aline Jones of Long Beach, MS and Nancy (Howard) Watkins of Valley Grande, grandchildren, Cindy (Sammy) Anderson of Selma, Dena (Michael) Clayton of Maylene, Ronda (Tim) McDonald of Valley Grande, Debbie (Donnie) Veach of Plantersville, George (Stacy) Humphries of Valley Grande, Brandy (Nathan) Rhea of Jemison, Vicky Moore of Washington, Erik (Karon) Denman of Castleberry, FL, Jason Whitney of Texas, and Kristofer Whitney of Texas, many great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Clayton, Matthew Treherne, Sammy Anderson, Tim McDonald, Michael Moseley, and Nathan Rhea.
The family visitation will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday March 16, 2008.
