Willie Christian
Willie Christian of Selma, AL, died March 11, 2008 at a local hospital. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, Inc.
George Frison
George Frison, 63, of Selma, AL, died March 7, 2008 at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be March 14, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church officiated by Rev. B.T. Booker at Fairlawn Cemetery, directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.
Evelyn Martin Fuller
Evelyn Martin Fuller, age 91, of Selma died Tuesday March 11, 2008 in a local hospital.
Visitation will take place on Thursday March 13, 2008 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday March 14, 2008 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Fuller was born October 21, 1916 in South Calera, AL. She graduated from Alabama College (University of Montevallo) with a degree in Home Economics and later obtained her Masters Degree from Montevallo. She taught home economics for many years at Suttle High School and Albert G Parrish High School. She retired from the Selma Public School system in 1976. In addition to her love for her family, she took great pleasure in gardening and entertaining others with her bounty. Mrs. Fuller was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was a long time member of Pine Flat Baptist Church in Suttle, AL prior to membership at First Baptist Church in Selma.
Mrs. Fuller, the wife of the late James Tazwell Fuller, Jr., is survived by two sons, James Tazwell Fuller, III and his wife, Catherine Porter Fuller, of Washington, DC, and Dr. Cecil W Fuller Sr. and his wife, Ann O’Gwynn Fuller, of Selma, She is also survived by a brother, James A Martin and his wife, Jane, of Point Clear, AL, and her grandchildren, Cecil William Fuller, Jr. and his wife, Kelly, of Selma, Dr. Clay O’Gwynn Fuller of Denver, CO, Catherine Terrell Fuller of Boston, MA. Pallbearers will be William Fuller, Clayton Megginson, Roger Fuller, Walter Edwards, Kenwood Nichols, and Arthur Maple. The family would like to express appreciation to caregivers, Betty Berry, LoGrande Lee, and Sarah Hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Bonnie Kate Schroeder Anderson
Bonnie Kate Schroeder Anderson, Sautee, GA, passed away on Tuesday March 11, 2008.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, John Anderson, Sautee; daughter and son-in-law, Adriane Anderson Seymour and Allen Seymour, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Wes and Britte Anderson, Gainesville; sister, Diane Ledbetter, Wahalla, SC; brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Betty Schroeder, Selma, AL.
Bonnie left behind five grandchildren, Kameron Anderson, Thomasville, NC; Dalton Anderson, Canton, Cameron Bridwell, Drew Seymour and Kate Seymour, all of Gainesville. She also leaves behind four nephews, Josh and Jimmy Ledbetter and spouses and Ken and Neil Schroeder and spouses of Selma, AL along with several great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, William and Daisy Schroeder of Selma, AL. Bonnie was a devoted wife and mother, community volunteer and served as a moderator of ValveReplacement.com a national website which assists and provides information for people who have had or need to have heart valve replacement surgery.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Yonah View Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, Ga. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that do-nations be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital in Greenville, SC, a hospital that Bonnie and John have supported all of their marriage.
