Mission goes far beyond kettles

If you have ever been in need, chances are somebody with the Salvation Army has pitched in to help you get by.

We know them primarily by their kettles at Christmas.

And, thanks to the Army, hundreds of &8220;angels&8221; receive Christmas presents each season.

But the Army is more than kettles. There are the thrift stores, the adult rehabilitation centers and more. Tonight, our Army holds its annual banquet.

We&8217;re grateful that more than 80 cents of each dollar spent by the Army goes to the people they want to help.
