Ms. Carrie J. Bennett, 75 of Marion, AL, died Feb. 27, 2008 at DCH Hospital.

Ms. Alice M. Bryant, 77, of Selma, AL died Feb. 24, 2008 at Vaughan Regional Hospital in Selma, AL.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 12:00 at Aimwell Missionary Baptist Church officiated by Charles L. Lett, M.D.
Burial will be in Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery and directed by
Miller Funeral Service, Inc.
Survivors include 6 sons, James (Ruby) Bryant, Detroit MI, Joe Bryant, Selma, AL, Jesse (Annice) Bryant, Orrville, AL, Clyde Bryant, Selma.
Carl and Lawrence Bryant preceded her in death; 6 daughters, Delores Bryant, Dayton OH, Edna Bryant, Selma, AL, Thelma (Fahmee) Hasan, Montgomery, AL, Jerrie Dean (Steve) Wright, Stone Mountain, GA, Gail (Walter) Simmons, Orrville, AL and Johnetta (Jaymes) Finley, Birmingham, AL; 27 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 4 sons-in-law, 2 daughters-in-law, 10 nieces and 6 nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Bryant, Joe Bryant, Jesse Bryant, Clyde Bryant, Marcus Bryant, Rajab Hasan, Jamal Hasan, Michael Callen, Walter Simmons, Steve Wright, Kawansis Bryant, Jaymes Finley, Lorenzo Simmons, and Clarence Simmons.

Janie Perry, 85, residence of Selma, AL died Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Montgomery County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Sat. March 1, 2008 at 11:00 at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Leroy Jackson officiating.
Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery and directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, Inc.
Ms. Perry was preceded in death by her parents,
Johnny and Eloise Jenkins and a son, John Rufus Cade.
She is survived by a daughter, Jenine Jones of Birmingham, AL; John (Barbara) Jenkins of Bessemer, AL,
Bessie Montgomery and Mary Polnett of Birmingham, AL, and a host of great nieces, great nephews and friends.
Mr. Ralph Griffin
Mr. Ralph Griffin, 72, of Selma, AL died Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Vaughan Regional Hospital.
Services are scheduled for 1 pm, Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church with Dr. L.L. Ruffin officiating.
Burial will follow in Marion City Cemetery under the di-rection of Miller Funeral Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Ora Griffin.
Survivors include spouse, Willie Augusta Griffin; two sons, Marc Dejon Holmes and Brian Jermaine Griffin; three daughters, Carol Roscoe Courtland, Darnice Marie Hale and Whitney Shantay Thompson; two brothers, James Griffin, and Cecil Griffin; one sister, Majorie Graham; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Carol Elaine Johnson, 46, formerly of Selma, died in Marietta,GA, on Wed., Feb. 27, 2008.
She was the daughter of the late J.C. Johnson and Doris Johnson.
Funeral services will be Sat., March 1 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Selfield, AL at 2:30 p.m.
