Mr. Charles David Glass
Charles David
Glass, 53, of Denton
passed away from
metastatic melanoma on January 22, 2008 at Denton Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 15, 1954 in Selma,
AL to Charles H. and Clara Gates Glass.
He graduated from the University of North Texas with degrees in Advertising
Art and a MBA in Real Estate and
Finance.
He married Linda Weaver
in Birmingham, AL on November
26, 1976 and they moved to Denton
in 1977.
David was a custom home builder in and around Denton for 20 years.
He was an active supporter of Denton public schools.
He served on the 2004 DISD Bond Committee and was the 1998 president of the DHS Gridiron Club.
He was a loving husband to Linda and a wonderful father to Bryan, Jordan and Garrett.
He is survived by Linda, his wife of 31 years, sons Bryan, Jordan and Garrett Glass, mother and stepfather, Clara and Art Olson of Selma, AL; sisters, Brenda Zeigler of Montgomery, AL, Carol Clements and husband Kevin of Monroeville,
AL, Donna Bates and husband
Mickey of Lawrenceville, GA.
David was preceded in death by his father, Charles. He leaves behind many beloved family and friends and he will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 26th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church with Rev. Steve Plunkett officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Denton Public School Foundation, 1307 North Locust, Denton, Texas 76201.

Sh’ron Jermon Thomas, age 30,
resident of Savannah, GA, died on Jan. 21, 2008 in Savannah, GA. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Walker Mortuary.
Guinn Allen “Sandy” Sanderson
Guinn Allen “Sandy” Sanderson, age 83, a resident of Jones, AL, passed away January 19, 2008.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma Jean Sanderson; grandson, John Blue; great-grandson, Taylor McFadden and brothers, Darrell Sanderson and Thomas Sanderson.
Surviving are his sons, David A.
(Ann) Sanderson, Charles K. (Judy) Sanderson and Wesley (Julie) Sanderson; daughters, Stephanie (Danny) Blue, Marcia Ezelle and
Melvia (Dwayne) McKinley;
brother, Lafayette (Frances) Sander-son; sister, Kathryn Moore; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday, January 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Selma Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Johnson officiating.
Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8:00 p.m. at the fu-
neral home.
Pallbearers will be Rusty Headley, James Frederick, Jackie DeLoach, Josh Locke, Scott Burt, Gerald Jor-
dan, Joseph Bedsole and Justin
McKinley.
Mr. Sanderson enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the harmonica and
juice harp.
He was a longtime employee of Bush Hog, LLC.
He
served in the U. S. Army and was a World War II veteran.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 1983.
