Selma man pleads guilty to kidnapping

A Selma man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Devinne Minter 24, of 606 Gorgas Ave., has pled guilty to kidnapping charges, and was sentenced for stalking and the March 15, 2007, abduction of a Selma woman.

Minter admitted before Dallas County Circuit Court Judge Tommy Jones that he forced the victim to leave the Selma Mall with him, and tied her up for several hours.

The victim was allegedly grabbed by the neck and forced into a vehicle.

According to court records the kidnapper told the victim&8217;s sister, &8220;If you call the police, I&8217;ll kill her.&8221;

The victim told police she had been held for four hours and that the suspect told her he had been calling her at work and on her cell phone daily.

According to authorities,

the victim had placed a restraining order against Minter.
