A limited slate of local basketball games got even shorter once inclement weather set in Thursday morning.

Meadowview Christian was the only school in Dallas County scheduled to play a game. However, it was cancelled once the decision was made to send students home in light of possible severe weather moving toward the area.

A tentative makeup date has been scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 26 at 2 p.m.

Just outside the county, Maplesville had a road game against John Essex that was also cancelled. No makeup date has been announced.
