Ms. Sharon Yvonne
Burton
Sharon Yvonne Burton, 45, was born Feb. 9, 1962,
to the late Mack and Helen Burton in Selma.
She departed her earthly home on Friday, Dec. 28, 2007. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving daughter, Kelsey Grace; two sisters, Pamela Victoria Burton of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Veronica Gail Burton of Selma; two brothers, Jerome (Christie) Burton of Grand Rapids,
and Ralph Sims of Atlanta; one special nephew, Alexander Grimes Burton of Selma; two aunts, Myrtle Towner of Montevallo
and Patsy Ruth Jones of Gordon; three uncles, Charles (Edith) Grimes of San Antonio, Jesse James Grimes of Los Angeles, and Joe C. (Sallie) Shelton of Selma, and a host of relatives and friends.
Ms. Burton was also preceded in death by her oldest brother, Nathaniel Burton and her aunt, Ida Blocton.
Funeral services will be noon, Friday, at The Tabernacle of Praise Church, 850 Woodrow Ave. in Selma; interment is entrusted to Miller’s Funeral Service Inc.
Mr. Joseph Alexander
Wilkinson
UNIONTOWN &045; Mr. Joseph &8220;Joe&8221; Alexander Wilkinson, age 52, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, after an auto accident in Catherine.
Services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, at the Uniontown Church of God with the Rev. Ronnie Blankenship and the Rev. Brad Bridges officiating. Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery in Uniontown under the direction of with Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors.
Mr. Wilkinson will lie in state one hour prior to the service time at the church.
The family will receive friends at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Home
from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Audrey Ann Stapleton Wilkinson of Uniontown; three daughters, Amy Nicole (Ryan) Ellis of Brundidge, Kimberly Ann Wilkinson and Christi Jo Wilkinson both of Uniontown; one son, Joey Eugene (Brenda) Wilkinson of Uniontown; five sisters, Mary (Clayton) Egbert of Selma, Jesse (Clarence) Egbert of York, Nancy (Terry) Kearley of Livingston, Jean (David) Diamond of Linden and Jeanette Wilkinson of Gallion; five brothers, Moses (Wanda) Wilkinson of Linden, Curtis (Pam) Wilkinson of Gallion, Ben (Sandra) Wilkinson of Gallion, Paul (Jayne) Wilkinson of Demopolis, Willie (Daisy) Wilkinson of Linden;four grandchildren, Gavin Alexander Ellis, Chelsea O’Brien, Christopher Simmons, Kaden Ingram; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Travis Wilkinson, Ardie Plummer, Jason Egbert, Allen Canterbury, Wayne Ray and Heath Wright.
Mr. Wilkinson was a native of Linden and has been a resident of Uniontown for the past
32 years.
He was a foreman with Weyerhauser Paper Co. in Pine Hill with over 10 years of service. He was a member of Uniontown Church of God.

Ms. Annie Newberry, 37, of Selma died Friday, Dec. 28, 2007,
at a local hospital.
