Prattville &045; Raymond Paul Barrett Sr., 77, a resident of Prattville, Ala., died peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at UAB Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m, Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at Hunting Ridge Church of God, with Pastor Gary Smith and the Rev. Raymond Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The body of Mr. Barrett will lie in state at the church one hour prior to his service from 12 p.m. until 1

p.m, at which time, the family will receive friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ebron and Effie Barrett.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Bonnie Barrett; two daughters and sons-in-law, Macilla and Bill Wild, Sherry and Rodger Gilham; two sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond Barrett, Jr. and Beverly Barrett, Dale and Deborah Barrett; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Barrett was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Cecil Morland Tipton

Huntsville

&045; Mr. Cecil Morland Tipton, 87, of Huntsville died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2007, at a local hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 31, at Valhalla Funeral Home, with Harold Kelly officiating. The interment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.

He is survived by his wife Gladys, and one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie Tipton and Donald R. Maples of New Hope; four sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil and Peggy Tipton of Opelika, Ritchie Lee and Marianne Tipton of Tuscaloosa, Jeffrey Walker and Vicki Tipton of Keller, Texas, and Andy Keith and Peggy M. Tipton of Sardis, Ala., and 10 grandchildren.

He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII.
