A 17-year-old wanted for the Saturday night shooting death of a 15-year-old Selma youth remained at large Monday.

Police have been searching for Jeffrey Kendell Struggs and have a warrant for his arrest.

Struggs allegedly shot and killed Dewone Smiley during an altercation at a Vine Street apartment. Smiley was transported to Vaughan Regional Medical Center where he died at 11:30 p.m., two hours after the incident.

Authorities said the fight, which led to the shooting stemmed from a previous altercation the two had over a girlfriend.

Smiley&8217;s murder was the fifth homicide of 2007.
