Faith takes over game early, beats Morgan

Faith’s 13-6 run late in the first quarter was the catalyst for a 66-42 win Saturday.
The Rams (6-2) allowed their lead to fall to 8 early inthe
second quarter. Then Tatyana Haywood hit a jumper that sparked an 11-0 stretch, and Faith’s lead stayed in double digits the rest of the contest.
Morgan’s Jaime Pilcher scored 17 to lead all players.
Amy Dennis scored 14 for Faith, and Aisha Hudson had 11.
A 9-3 Morgan run didn’t help what was already a large deficit, and the Rams still led 40-27 with 1:54 left in the first half.
Morgan Crawford got a second look at a 3-pointer and sparked a 7-0 run that put Faith up 59-31 late in the third.
Morgan’s biggest run of the game came when it outscored Faith 9-3 and trailed 62-42 with 3:28 left in the game.
