Mrs. Florence B. Taylor

Mrs. Florence B. Taylor, 93, of Valley Grande, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at home.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the Pineview Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Brothers Funeral Home Inc.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Evanglist Taylor Sr. and by her parents, Willie and Lettie Brooks.

Ms. Angerene Major

Ms. Angerene Major, 73, of Selma died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at Regency Hospital in Mississippi.

Services are scheduled for noon, Saturday, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Melton officiating.

Burial will follow in Fairlawn under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.

Ms. Major is survived by two sons, James (Charlene) Major and John (Tammy) Major of Selma; a daughter, Lydia Rene/ Major of Selma; a brother, Willie Rutledge of Selma; four grandchildren, Chelsea, John D., Chakkera and Cameron Major; an aunt, Lucille Boggarty of Birmingham a niece;

and five nephews.

Friends will be pallbearers.

Mrs. Maggie Hean

Mrs. Maggie Hean Dennis Stitten, 48, of Selma, died at home.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, at Lily Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the church&8217;s cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Stitten; parents, Selena Howard and Sam Dennis; two sons, Myron L. Dennis and Johnathan A. Dennis of Huntsville; a daughter, Felicia E. Dennis; two brothers, Lloyd Dennis and Terrence (Vera) Dennis; five sisters, Sheila Dennis, Beatrice (Carlos) Vasquez, Sonja (Michael) Caldwell, Stephanie Howard and Debra Carter; one grandchild; two sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; 11 nieces; 14 nephews; 10 uncles; three great-uncles; four great-aunts; six aunts and a devoted friend, Brenda Leshore.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Dennis, Edward Dennis, Randall Dennis, Roderick Dennis and Regis Bell.

Ms. Fannie Mae Seabon

Ms. Fannie Mae Seabon, 87, of Dallas County died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for noon, Saturday, at Greater St. Joseph A.M.E. Church with Frankie Hutchins officiating. Burial will follow in Walter Jones cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.

Ms. Seabon is survived by two sons, Willie Seabon Jr. (Carol) and Waymon Seabon (Edith); two daughters, Minnie S. Howard (Johnnie Sr.) and Dorothy S. Callines; a sister, Annette Harrison; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and five sisters-in-law.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews.

Mr. Ovella King Dock Goings Jr., 55, of Selma, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at his home.

Funeral services are scheduled for noon, Saturday at Providence Missionary Baptist Church with Chester Purifoy officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.

Mr. Goings is survived by his wife, Beverly Smith Goings; his parents, Bessie Mae Goings and the late Ovella King Dock Goings Sr., two sons, Michael Anthony (Renita) Goings of Memphis, Tenn., and Rodney Smith of Selma; four daughters, Seniga (Stan) Edwards, Monetta (Jerod) Goldson, Vianca Clark and Iris Smith; five brothers, Robert (Ovella) Crum; Lewis Euge Goings, John David Goings, John D. (Aldoisy) Goings, Michael D. (Ghytana) Goings; seven sisters, Betty (Ernest) Davis, Judy Crum, Eva Lois Crum, Willie Lee Hardy, Sarah (Sheldon) Witherspoon, vivian T. Goings and Ann Carol (Johnny) Moore; 11 grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews; an uncle, Henry Smiley; and an aunt, Willie Mae (Earnest) Mack.

His brothers and Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Ms. Annie Belle Jackson

WHITE HALL &045; Ms. Annie Belle Jackson, 66, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2007, at her residence.

Funeral services are noon, Sunday, at Sellers Memorial Christian Church with the Rev. Dale C. Braxton officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson Family Cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.

She is survived by a son, Alfred K. Jackson; two grandchildren, Marcus Albre and Alicia Dione; seven brothers; two sisters and numerous grateful nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Duane C. Morgan

Mr. Duane C. Morgan of Selma died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at a local hospital.

He is survived by his mother, Elsie Morgan; niece, Lindsey McKinney and nephew, Trey Cook. He was preceded in death by his father, Don Morgan Sr. and brother, Don Morgan Jr.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date by Lawrence Funeral Home.
