Cory Locke, 37, of Cleveland was arrested in July 2005 in Selma after police learned he had been showing pictures of nude underage girls.

The 16-year-old girl told police Locke brought her and a 21-year-old from Ohio under false pretenses. They said once they arrived in Selma their promise of summer fun turned out to be dancing as strippers and performing lewd acts with strangers.

Locke was

charged initially with production of pornographic materials. However, police learned about the prostitution ring after interviewing the juveniles, who Locke moved from hotel to hotel.

He pled guilty Tuesday to promoting prostitution second degree before Judge Jack Meigs, an amended charge.

Detectives testified officers were on patrol on Highland Avenue on July 6, 2005 when they encountered the 16-year-old female crying and pleading to go home. She told police they feared for their lives.

Police searched a laptop computer Locke had and discovered the pornography, which the 16-year-old said he sold in addition to receipts from prostitution.
