Authorities will not release the name of the youth because her identity is protected under state law.

UM police officers have said the teenager entered Brooke Residence Hall about 9 p.m. Tuesday. She allegedly carried a gun and wanted to see a dorm resident. Brooke is a women’s dormitory on campus. The youth is not a student at the university.
