Allyson Lanelle Cook

Mrs. Allyson Lanelle Cook of Enterprise, Ala. passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007 in the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan after an extended illness. She was 41.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 from the First Baptist Church of Level Plains with Reverend Neal Caver officiating.

Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing.

The family will receive friends at the church beginning at noon and continuing until service time.

At all other times the family will be at the home of her sister, Darlene Day, 117 Hutchinson St., Enterprise.

Allyson was born Aug. 26, 1966 in Selma, Ala. to the late Harmon Howell and Mrs. Earlean Langford Howell.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Level Plains and had lived in Enterprise since 1992.

Survivors include her husband, Scott Cook, Enterprise; one daughter, Kayla Michelle Cook, Enterprise; one son, Brandon Scott Cook (Tiffany), Enterprise; a special daughter-like friend, Juwana Adkison, Enterprise; her mother, Earlean Howell, Enterprise; one sister, Darlene Day (Eddie), Enterprise; one grandson, Payton Cook; several nieces and nephews.

Geneva Jewel Graham

Geneva Jewel Graham, 88, a resident of Wetumpka, Ala. passed away Tuesday Oct. 23, 2007 at a local facility. Graveside

services will be

held on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Steve King officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Graham was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters Sharon Torrillo (Joseph) of Montgomery, Ala. Donna Griffin (Steve) of Amarillo, Texas, Rebecca Abraham (Warren) Dothan, Ala., Sons John Walter Graham (Kay) of Ruskin, Fla., Robert V. Graham (Lynn) Jacksonville, Fla. & Kenneth L. Graham (Karen) of Decatur, Ala. 25 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, & 4 great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Everyone will assemble at the graveside. Following the

graveside service there will be a Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m.

at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.

Catherine Smith

Catherine Smith, 83, a resident of Selma, passed at a local hospital on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007. Final arrangements will be announced at a later date by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

Minister Annie M. Fair

Min. Annie M. (James) Fair, a native of Selma, Ala., Dallas County and resident of Mobile, Ala. for many years exchanged her life for eternal rest on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007.

Funeral Service will be held at Faith City Deliverance Pentecostal 521 Mobile St. Mobile, Ala. on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007 at 11:00 am.

Robert Smith

Robert Smith, 90, resident of Selma, died at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Final arrangements will b announced at a later date by Miller Funeral Service.

Thelma M. Clark

Thelma M. Clark, 76, passed away Friday morning, Oct. 19, 2007, 7:10 a.m. at her home. She extended her hand and God welcomed her home.

Services will be held Friday, Oct. 26, 2007,

at noon at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Rev. Rodney Morton officiating.

Burial will follow at Fairlawn Memory Garden, directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, Inc.

Confessing Christ at an early age, she joined Green Street Baptist Church under the pastorship of Rev. J.M. Upshaw. She was an avid churchgoer, loving Sunday School and music. She was a Sunday School teacher and secretary, sang in the choir and organized the Thelma Clark Gospel Choir. She acquired and distributed clothing to the needy from the Green Street Baptist Church.

Earning a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education at Alabama State University, she taught English and Social Studies in Dallas County for 35 years before retiring. She was a member of the Family Secret Social & Savings Club, Women of Wisdom Exercising Class, Freedom Baptist Adult Ministry, a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served faithfully until failing health.

To cherish her memories are: son, Gregory James Clark (Paulett); a devoted, loving, and caring sister, Dorothy M. Baidy; grandchildren, Jean, Bryant, Kelvin and Ashley, Mobile/ Birmingham; special cousins, Herman Watts ( Rosemary), Zelma White, Betty M. Webb, Selma; Joretha Cooper Cleveland, Ohio, Evelyn Olds & Jerri Dean Watts, Atlanta, Ga.; &8220;adopted sisters&8221; Rosemary Adams, Shirley Wyatt, Armatine Williams, Gloria Sean Simmon, Olivia Carter of Mobile, Ala.; sister-in-law, Ophelia Bady; special friend, Willie Lee Craig, Selma; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

Willie James Moore

Willie James Moore, 63, of Detroit, Mich. (formerly of Dallas County) passed away Thursday, Oct. 18. He is survived by a devoted wife, Brenda Moore; brother, Willie Lewis Moore (Rose) and his children and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents McKinley and Goreathey Moore; sister Lillie Moore Calhoun; brothers Sam E. Moore and Lee E. Moore. Services are scheduled for Saturday Oct. 27 at Starlight Baptist Church, Detroit, Mich. with Gates of Heaven Funeral Home directing.

Willie Walter Malone

Willie Walter Malone, 93, a longtime resident of Selma and Marengo County, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007.

He was a member of Freewill Christian Church, a resident at Warren Manor Nursing Home, and retired from Scott Lumber Company.

He was preceded in death by parents Steve and Lucie Malone; wives Ernestene Smith and Sadie Thomas; a son Bennie Malone.

He is survived by 14 children, Willie Mae (Aubrie) Hill, Mobile, Ala., Pearlie Swift, Selma, Ala., Fannie (Richard) Bourne, Uniondale, NY, Martha (Lloyd) Eason, Uniondale, N.Y., Willie Earl Malone, Selma, Ala., Evelyn (James) Milton, Houston, Texas, Elizabeth Malone, Joliet, Ill., DeLois ( Marvin) Baskin, Joliet, Ill., Brenda (Leonard) Buxton, Morvin, Ala., Deborah (Tony) Turner, Pennington, Ala., Charles Malone, Nanafalia, Ala., Annie M. Malone, Putnam, Ala., Dwight (Mary) Malone, Putnam, Ala., Frederick (Jacqueline) Malone, Camden, Ala.; a daughter-in-law, Leona Malone, Fayetteville, N.C., 38 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held at Freewill Christian Church at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until noon prior to the service.

Interment will be in Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Morvin, Ala.
