The results of a $48,000 study of the Selma Police Department should be in hand any day now, according to the mayor.
The issue came up Monday night during the council meeting when Councilman Cecil Williamson asked about the issue.
The city contracted with Public Safety Consultants, Inc. to conduct the study, which included interviews with officers and people in the community.
Ralph Ioimo of Wetumpka, who operates the consulting firm, told city officials June 14 he possibly would finish the report in two weeks.
Changes in the police department, including an exodus of veteran officers prompted the study earlier this year.
